Job Description

GIS Analyst – Top-Notch IT Company

Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented GIS Analyst with 1–3 years of experience in GIS, Remote Sensing, and Photogrammetry. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with spatial data analysis, image processing, and photogrammetry techniques. This role requires proficiency in GIS software and a strong analytical mindset to derive meaningful insights from UAV and satellite imagery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform digitization, editing, and spatial data analysis using GIS tools.
  • Process photogrammetry data and analyze UAV and satellite imagery.
  • Convert AutoCAD plans into GIS inputs for further analytics.
  • Apply image processing techniques such as classification, correction, and GIS-based analysis.
  • Conduct research and development in UAV data analytics and methodology enhancement.
  • Maintain and manage the GIS database in compliance with project standards.
  • Create map layouts, reports, and documentation as per project requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, GIS, and DGPS concepts (Basic to Intermediate level).
  • Hands-on experience with GIS software: ArcGIS, QGIS, MicroStation.
  • Exposure to Photogrammetry software such as Pix4D, Agisoft.
  • Experience handling Point Cloud data for classification and measurement analytics.
  • Proficiency in data capturing using Google Earth.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency in Python, Arcpy for GIS automation and analysis.
  • Flexible and innovative mindset with a keen interest in GIS advancements.

Educational Qualifications:

  • B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Geoinformatics, Geography, Remote Sensing, or GIS.

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in GIS, Remote Sensing, and Photogrammetry.
  • Salary: 3.5 LPA - 4.5 LPA
